Course overview

Clear200The CLEAR course aims to provide a hands-on approach that is designed to make the language and methodology of literature, and research relevant to surgeons in the day-to-day activities of their practice. Through a combination of lectures and small group teaching, participants are provided with the tools to undertake critical appraisal of surgical literature and to assist surgeons in the conduct of clinical trials.

CLEAR is a two day course conducted for 32 participants with a faculty of four to five instructors.

Approximately 10 courses are run each year. A list of this year's CLEAR courses is available on the CLEAR Course Schedule.

Teaching on Skills Training courses enables RACS Fellows to claim 1 CPD point per hour, with a maximum of 30 per annum.
