Associate Professor James Wei Tatt Toh
Overview
I am a consultant Colorectal and General surgeon at Westmead hospital. I am a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in General Surgery and have completed an additional three years of subspecialty Colorectal training at Concord Repatriation General Hospital, Bankstown Lidcombe Hospital and Liverpool Hospital.
I specialise in minimally invasive laparoscopic colorectal and general surgery and have a special interest in colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and diverticulitis.
I have won numerous national and international research prizes for colorectal research, and was a finalist in the NSW AMA supervisor of the year award. I am also a lecturer for UNSW and UWS and have been a recipient of the Dean's prize for teaching and Tutor of the Year at the South West Clinical School, UNSW.
