In June the SA State Committee wrote to the South Australian Government regarding the issue of environmental sustainability in health care. The intent of the letter was to begin discussions between RACS and the State Government with the ultimate aim of developing a climate change health strategy within SA Health and South Australian hospitals.

The committee have now received responses from both the State Health Minister and the State Environment Minister. In their replies both Ministers outlined their commitment to engage further with the committee and develop strategies to reduce emissions within the state’s hospitals.
