Dr Deborah Amott
Overview
Dr Deborah Amott is an Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgeon, who has established her private practice in Moonee Ponds. She has subspecialty interests in Head and Neck Cancer surgery, functional nasal surgery, snoring surgery, and paediatric ENT Surgery. IN addition to her private practice, she is Head of Unit (ENT Surgery) at Northern Health.
Deborah completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne, graduating with Honours. She went on to her residency at St Vincent’s Hospital, and commenced General Surgical training (incorporating a year of Thoracic Surgery) with that institution. Changing course to ENT Surgery, she completed her training in Victoria, followed by fellowship training at UC Davis Medical Center, California.
Deborah’s general and thoracic surgical experience results in broad knowledge of surgical conditions, techniques and management of complex peri-operative conditions that she brings to her ENT practice. An interest in paediatric ENT surgery, coupled by the practical experience of having two young sons, has resulted in strong surgical skills in this area, as well as understanding of the difficulty parents face when considering surgery for their children.
