Overview

Dr Ali is the 2019 Recipient of Dubai Health Care City Distinguished Excellence Physician Award for his ongoing efforts to promote cancer surgery services in the UAE , caring for cancer patients and performing complex Thoracic ( lung & chest) upper GI (Stomach & Esophagus) and surgical oncology (Liver , adrenal , solid organs & sarcoma) cases in Dubai and UAE.

Dr. Ali Is Certified in Surgery, Thoracic Oncology, and Thoracic Surgery. He received his surgical apprenticeship Education at Harvard Medical School, Boston USA at Brigham and Women’s Hospital by US leaders in their fields of Thoracic Surgery and Surgical oncology.
Dr. Ali is a Fellow member of the Royal Australasian & American College of Surgeons, Society of Thoracic Surgery, Member of the Society of Surgical Oncology, The American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and Member of the Society for the Surgery of the Alimentary Tract and author of multiple peer reviewed articles and book chapters.
Dr Ali has large interest in surgical education demonstrated with University Appointment & his ongoing involvement in national scientific presentations and educational conference participation’s.

Areas of Expertise

Dr. Ali Al Dameh provides the most up-to-date surgical procedures and state-of-the-art treatment modalities for all diseases and conditions of the chest and upper GI system. He performs minimally invasive robotic-assisted minimally invasive thoracoscopic lung, esophageal and mediastinal resections. He offers multimodality therapy for locally advanced lung cancer, mesothelioma, mediastinal tumors (thymoma, germ cell tumor, paraganglioma), chest wall tumors (chondrosarcoma, osteosarcoma) and esophageal cancer, liver , adrenal , stomach and pancreatic cancer in conjunction with medical oncologists and radiation oncologists. He also offers minimally invasive surgery for benign esophageal conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux, achalasia, esophageal diverticulum, paraesophageal hernia and hiatal hernia. His surgical skills also include minimally invasive robotic assisted total thymectomy to treat myasthenia gravis and complex airway reconstruction for tracheal stenosis, tracheoesophageal fistula and tracheobronchomalacia.
Dr Ali’s service also offers weight loss surgery, surgery for reflux disease, gallstones, laparoscopic and open hernia repair. He also performs upper GI endoscopy, reconstructive Vascular surgery, Liver & Adrenal Surgery for benign and malignant conditions.
