Assoc Prof Marcos Perini
Overview
A/Prof Marcos V. Perini, MD, PhD, is an Associcate Professor of at the University of Melbourne and HPB and Liver Transplant Surgeon at Austin Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. A/Prof Perini has dedicated most of his work in liver transplantation, liver resection for metastatic colorectal cancer, primary liver tumours and liver surgery techniques. Apart from his clinical work he is also engaged in experimental model of colorectal cancer metastases, translational research and surgical education. Following international training at Mayo Clinic, Rochester and Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee in USA, he completed his HPB and Liver Transplant training at Austin Hospital, Melbourne. He owns a Masters and a PhD in Science and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). He is also an active member of the IHPBA and the AP-HPBA.
