Dr Danette Wright

Overview

Danette is a general and colorectal surgeon with subspecialty interests in intestinal failure, inflammatory bowel disease and complex abdominal wall construction. Danette completed her general surgical training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Concord Hospitals. She completed CSSANZ Colorectal Fellowship at Westmead Hospital and Austin Hospital. She then completed a further fellowship in Complex Colorectal Surgery (Intestinal Failure and Inflammatory Bowel Disease) and Abdominal Wall Reconstruction at Salford Royal Foundation Trust, Manchester, United Kingdom.

Dr Wright is currently the Head of Department of General Surgery at Blacktown and Mt Druitt Hospitals as well as the Clinical Network Director of Surgery for Western Sydney Local Health District and is part of the RACS NSW State Committee. She also has interests in patient safety and clinical governance and is involved with the Clinical Excellence Commission.
