Mr Venu Bhamidipaty

Overview

I trained through various Vascular Surgery units in Australia, New Zealand & Canada. I returned to Auckland in 2014 and currently practice as a Vascular & Endovascular Surgeon in Auckland City Hospital, Mercy Hospital & Mercy Angiography.

I have a particular sub-specialty interest in Diabetic peripheral arterial and foot disease/wounds and am the Clinical Lead for the ADHB Multi-Disciplinary Diabetic Foot Clinic. I'm currently involved in setting up similar clinics in Waitamata and Northland DHBs. On top of a busy clinical practice, I have strong academic interests and am a Senior Lecturer (Hon) in the Department of Surgery at the University of Auckland.

My public and private practice includes all aspects of Vascular surgery including open surgery as well minimally invasive (endovascular) therapies for carotid, aortic, upper and lower limb vascular disease, renal/dialysis access surgery, central venous port insertions as well surgical and endovenous therapies for varicose veins.
