Dr Siva Sundararajan

Overview

Mr Siva Sundararajan is a Consultant Bariatric and General Surgeon. He was born in India and migrated to Singapore with the family where he did most of his schooling. After serving in the Singapore Army as a medic for several years, he went to Scotland to do his undergraduate medicine at the University of Edinburgh. He then migrated to Perth where he completed his general surgical training. He underwent advanced bariatric surgery training in Melbourne at Box Hill Hospital before  going to Belgium to complete his bariatric training under Dr Bruno Dillemans – a world renowned expert in gastric bypass surgery. He established Perth Obesity Solutions when he returned to Perth. He is a commisioned as a military surgeon in the Royal Australian Airforce holding the rank of Squadron Leader.

He offers general surgery (hernia, gall bladder, skin lesions etc); weight loss  surgery (sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, banding and abdominoplasty); endoscopy - gastroscopy and colonoscopy. 

Mr Sundararajan believes in tailored treatment to suit patient needs and expectations with an emphasis on patient education & empowerment. Weight loss treatment is also comprehensive with an in-house multidisciplinary team of surgeons, gastroenterologists, dietitians and psychological counsellor.
