Mr Yuan Cheng

Overview

Mr. Yuan Cheng specialises in General Surgery, with subspecialty qualifications in Bariatric (Obesity) Surgery. 

Graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2004 and later completed surgical training with Monash Health in 2014. From thereon he chose to focus his subspecialty trainings in the area of bariatric surgery. After spending one year with a team of expert surgeons at Eastern Health Melbourne in a dedicated and high-volume bariatric unit, Yuan then traveled to Belgium to work alongside Dr. B. Dillemans, with special focus in Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and complex revision bariatric surgeries. 

Yuan is passionate about helping patients achieve and maintain their weight loss goals and is dedicated towards helping them make the best possible informed decisions about how to do so. By educating and empowering the patient in an environment supported by a team of other specialists and allied health professionals, Yuan ensures they receive the best possible result from the safe and minimally invasive surgical procedures that he is so well practiced in.
