The Find a Surgeon directory is a listing of active Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons who meet the requirements of the College's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program and have opted to be on the list. This list excludes retired or inactive Fellows.

IMG Assessment fees - Australia

IMGs applying for a specialist and/or Area of Need (AoN) assessment will be charged an assessment fee.

Following the document based assessment; applicants who are considered not comparable do not progress to an interview and will have the interview component of the assessment fee reimbursed. 

IMGs who have been advised to undertake a designated period of clinical assessment of their professional practice with supervision by two Fellows of RACS, will be charged a supervision fee. IMGs will be invoiced pro-rata on commencement of clinical assessment for the current calendar year and thereafter in January of each year until they have completed the clinical assessment period.

The International Medical Graduate Fees in Australia policy {ETA-IMG-012} defines the fees associated with IMG assessments. Fees may include:

IMG Assessment Fees - Australia 

       2018 

Specialist and/or AoN (Area of Need) Assessment Fee

      $9,975      (inc. AUS GST)

Supervision - onsite

      $8,085      (inc. AUS GST)

Supervision - remote 

      $23,070    (inc. AUS GST)

Document Assessment Fee - AoN subsequent to specialist assessment

      $1,510      (inc. AUS GST)

Document Assessment Fee - RACS endorsement for AoN

      $1,510      (inc. AUS GST)

IMG Administration Fee   

      $1,000      (inc. AUS GST)

Short Term Training Application Fee 

      $1,400      (inc. AUS GST)   

Fellowship Examination

      $8,330.00 (GST not required)
