Younger Fellows are surgeons in their first 10 years post
Fellowship qualification. There are services available specifically
for Younger Fellows who are encouraged to participate in the
activities, governance and development of the College.

Committee with representatives from all regions of
Younger Fellows Forum
The YFF is a College-funded annual retreat drawing Younger
Fellows together to discuss and debate relevant issues. It
offers a unique opportunity for a group of Fellows to share ideas
and experiences and debate issues that affect their professional
and personal lives.
In May 2019, the Forum will be held in Bangkok. Applications are

In May 2018, the Forum was held in the Blue Mountains prior to
the Annual Scientific Congress.
In May 2017, the Forum was held at Mount Lofty House,
Adelaide Hills prior to the Annual Scientific Congress.

Younger Fellows Mentoring Program
The Younger Fellows Committee have developed a facilitated
mentoring program open to all Fellows of the college within their
first 10 years of gaining Fellowship.

Younger Fellows Leadership Exchange
The Younger Fellows Leadership Exchange is an exchange program
between the College and the Association for Academic Surgery in the
