RACS is proud to support Crazy Socks 4 Docs Day on Friday 7 June 2019.  The aim of #CrazySocks4Docs Day is to encourage conversations about mental health and help reduce the stigma for doctors experiencing mental illness.

The message for this year's campaign is "be the changes we wish to be". We encourage RACS members to wear your crazy socks, share photos on social media and start conversations with colleagues about doctors' health and wellbeing.

Dr Geoff Toogood, a Melbourne cardiologist and mental health advocate founded the day in 2017 and the movement has gained national and international attention.

This year's campaign will be officially launched with a breakfast on Friday 31 May 2019 at the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre/Peter Mac Auditorium, Parkville in Melbourne.

RACS Members and their families can access confidential professional support and counselling of up to four free sessions a year through the RACS Support Program (Converge International) on 1300 687 327 (Australia) or 0800 666 367 (New Zealand).
