Remembrance Day (Australia) and Armistice Centenary (New
Zealand) has a special significance in 2018. Sunday, 11 November
2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the Armistice which ended the
First World War (1914-18).
At 11am on 11 November this year,
Aotearoa New Zealand will also mark the centenary of the armistice
that ended the First World War in 1918.
More than 330,000 Australians and
100,000 New Zealanders served overseas. Some 78,000 died, including
surgeons and medical staff. Let us remember their supreme
courage and sacrifice.
