A general surgeon with special interests in breast and endocrine surgery, Professor Ung has held the position of vice president for the past two years and was instrumental in the election of a historic governance overhaul of the College. He is also the previous chair of the RACS Queensland State Committee.

Professor Ung will take over from current president Associate Professor Kerin Fielding at the RACS ASC in Sydney (3-6 May). 

Associate Professor Fielding has used her two-year presidency to amplify the College's advocacy, with a particular focus on rural and regional health equity. She has also worked to strengthen ties with the surgical societies and associations as well as other medical colleges, both within Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally.

* Vice President - Professor Ray Sacks
* Censor-in-Chief - Dr Phil Morreau
* Chair, Professional Standards and Fellowship Services Committee - Dr Christine Lai
