The leading continuing professional development (CPD) program for surgeons in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, the RACS CPD program offers you lifelong support for each stage of your career and has been developed to align with the Medical Board of Australia (MBA) CPD registration standard and recertification requirements set by Te Kaunihera Rata o Aotearoa – Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ). Workforce

Maintenance of surgical standards
Patients' safety is at the core of all that we do, and we support our members and the wider healthcare community to maintain the highest surgical standards through our Code of Conduct and Fellowship pledge, our accredited CPD home and program, standards, guidelines and position papers, surgical mortality audits and our Trauma Care Verification Program.
Stewardship of the surgical profession
RACS underpins the network of surgical societies and associations that ensures a “for surgeons, by surgeons” approach to surgical education and the maintenance of surgical standards.
