Maintenance of Professional Standards (MOPS)
Overview
The MOPS Program is completed over a 12-month consecutive period.
Doctors who are not Fellows of the College but have postgraduate surgical qualifications at a recognised institution can register to participate in the program. Similarly, doctors who are specialist or vocationally registered in Australia and/or New Zealand respectively are also welcome to register to participate in the program.
MOPS program requirements
The MOPS Program has been developed in consultation with specialty societies, associations and regional committees to ensure that it meets the needs of participants and reflects current educational principles. The Continuing Professional Development Guide outlines requirements for the program and provides information within each category on activities that participants can undertake to assist with meeting the requirements.
Certificate of Compliance
The CPD Program requires participants to self-report their activity. Once a participant has logged sufficient activity against each category, the online platform will automatically recognise their compliance with the requirements. Participants can finalise their CPD for that year and access a CPD certificate.
