Outstanding Service to Community Award
Overview
The Outstanding Service to the Community Award has been designed to recognise Fellows who have given long and dedicated service to their local community - more often than not unheralded - but without which the standard of surgical care in that community would have been less than society demands.
The NT Committee recognise a small number of Fellows throughout the year with this award and other awards, that seek to say thank you for all the hard work and commitment that our Fellows have shown, and continue to show, which benefits not only their patients, their hospitals, their communities, but it must be highlighted, the incredible benefit that they bring to RACS as a whole.
The criteria for these awards consequently are understandably strict as the NT Committee takes this responsibility very seriously and any deserving recipient must meet this standard. However, the Committee is delighted in the opportunity to recognise these Fellows, our colleagues, in their communities here in the NT.
