We warmly invite Fellows, Trainees, SIMG's and Medical Students to join us at the iconic Adelaide Oval, a venue that  ties in seamlessly with the theme of this year’s meeting, 'Standing on the Shoulders of Giants'.

This theme pays homage to the legacy of those who have shaped our profession over many years through their innovation and their ingenuity. We will also be turning a historical lens to the future, by analysing what we can learn from the past as we embrace the new and emerging trends of the future.  Our program features a distinguished lineup of speakers — surgeons, historians, and thought leaders — who will explore the ways in which history continues to influence contemporary practices and will guide our future direction.

In addition to the thought-provoking scientific content, we’re excited to offer the SAASM forum, a free papers session, where presenters will compete for the prestigious Justine Miller and RP Jepson Medals, as well as a range of other insightful sessions.

The meeting kicks off with a welcome reception, setting the tone for what promises to be an enriching and memorable experience. The Conference Dinner will be a highlight, featuring the Anstey Giles Lecture and the presentation of the Sir Henry Newland Award.
