NT, WA & SA Tristate Annual Scientific Meeting 2026
Registrations: Now Open
When: Thursday 27 & Friday 28 August 2026 (Welcome Function - Wednesday 26 August)
Where: Darwin Convention Centre, Northern Territory
Who: Fellows, Trainees, SIMG's and Medical Students
The NT, WA & SA Tristate Annual Scientific Meeting returns on 27 & 28 August 2026 at the Darwin Convention Centre, NT.
This year’s meeting offers participants a unique insight into the opportunities, limitations, experiences and landscapes of the Top End that both influence and shape our surgical practice. Our theme pays tribute to the legacy of rural surgical pioneers, the ingenuity demanded by remote practice, and the opportunities that arise from the very limitations inherent to frontier surgery.
Under the theme Outreach and Reaching Out, the meeting will bring together experts to share knowledge, strengthen connections, and explore innovative approaches to care across our regions. The ASM will explore thought-provoking and clinically relevant content that reflects the realities of surgical practice in rural and remote Australia. While this is a Tristate meeting, we warmly welcome our colleagues from across Australia, particularly those from the northern part of the country, as well as Aoteraoa New Zealand, who face many of the same challenges as those practicing across the NT, WA and SA.
The meeting provides a valuable opportunity to reconnect with friends and colleagues. Proceedings will commence with the welcome function at Darwin Parliament House on the Speakers Green on Wednesday, 26 August 2026. The two-day scientific program, which will be held at the Darwin Convention Centre, will provide insightful sessions that challenge conventional thinking and encourage meaningful reflection on contemporary surgical practice.
15 CPD Points + the opportunity to meet the mandatory CAPE requirements of the principles of 'Addressing Health Inequities', 'Professionalism' & 'Ethical Practice'.
