Become a reviewer
The ANZ Trauma Care Verification Program seeks expressions of interest from experienced trauma professionals - surgeons, emergency physicians, intensivists, anaesthetists and nurses to join verification review teams.
A hospital review involves thorough evaluation of preparatory material and two days on site at each hospital interviewing hospital staff. Each reviewer makes a significant contribution to the final report and their recommendations can result in meaningful quality improvement.
Benefits include:
- the opportunity to see how another hospital manages trauma patients
- participation in a bi-national trauma quality improvement process
- sharing ideas and best practice
- working with trauma clinicians from a range of other disciplines
Surgeons are eligible for CPD points at RACS and we support the recognition of professional development by other medical colleges.
Travel and accommodation is covered by the program, and reviewers receive a modest honorarium in appreciation of their work.
