The RACS Scholarships and Grants program provides invaluable opportunities for surgeons, Trainees, and health professionals looking to advance their skills and impact in surgery. From medical students contemplating a career in surgery to experienced Fellows pursuing advanced skills or research, the program supports all levels in their professional journey.
With a value of approximately $1.8 million, the 2025 program features 18 research scholarships and 32 learning and development grants. Through this initiative, RACS aims to foster innovation, education, and quality improvement in surgical care.
The Scholarships and Grants team would like to thank the reviewers who dedicated their time to assess numerous high-calibre applications across various surgical specialties. This competitive process reflects the commitment within the surgical community to push boundaries and deliver superior care.
Our reviewers have meticulously evaluated applications from across surgical specialties, while the Foundation for Surgery, along with generous Fellows and benefactors, continue to build lasting legacies that nurture future surgical leaders.
Congratulations to all applicants, especially our 2025 awardees. We encourage everyone to re-apply again in March 2025 as their projects grow and evolve. Here’s to a future where surgical excellence continues to thrive through learning, development, and support.
