WiS event

The stunning 12-Micron restaurant at Barangaroo provided the perfect backdrop for the annual Women in Surgery lunch at the end of February. This inspiring event brought together women and men in surgery, offering a space for networking, learning, and fostering professional growth.

Avant, our sponsor of the lunch, shared their expertise on crucial topics such as medical indemnity, personal insurance, and financial goal-setting. Attendees gained invaluable insights into navigating the complexities of insurance and financial planning—equipping them with the knowledge to make confident, informed decisions. This session will help shape their careers and personal lives for long-term success.

The event was more than just learning. It highlighted the power of strong and supportive professional networks in surgery. Surgeons shared insights, tackled challenges, and built connections. These conversations sparked new ideas and broadened perspectives. The experience strengthened both personal and professional growth.
