Results release
Candidates will be sent a text when their results have been uploaded to eHub, on the Monday of the clinical/viva examination weekend in Australia and on the Sunday of the clinical/viva examination weekend in New Zealand.
Presentation to the Court
Successful candidates are usually invited to be formally presented to the Court of Examiners following the release of results.
Feedback for unsuccessful candidates
After the completion of the examination a hard copy letter is sent to all unsuccessful candidates, identifying the segments in which the examiners felt their performance was unsatisfactory.
Unsuccessful candidates and their supervisors are emailed a feedback report from the Senior Examiner. This report is supplied to assist candidates in preparing for the next exam and candidates are encouraged to discuss their report with their supervisor. These reports are also provided to the relevant specialty training board.
An outline of the examination process, information on how the examination is marked, what the examiners are looking for and information on the assessment of candidates' performance in the individual segments of the examination, will be supplied with the feedback report. The generic information can also be viewed in the Generic feedback on candidate performance document (PDF 35.35KB).
Full information regarding the feedback process can be found in the policy on Fellowship Examination eligibility, review and feedback (PDF 137.31KB).
Applying for Fellowship
Passing the Fellowship examination does not mean instant or automatic admission to Fellowship. Trainees and SIMGs who meet the criteria must apply for admission.
