ANZ Endocrine Surgeons (ANZES) Research Surgical Scholarship

Value: AUD $10,000 (2 scholarships on offer)

This scholarship is funded by an annual donation from the ANZ Endocrine Surgeons (ANZES).

The scholarship is intended to support research undertaken in the field of Endocrine Surgery. The scholarship may also be utilised to support travelling fellowship to an endocrine centre of excellence in order to learn new techniques in endocrine surgery. 

 

  • Policy and guideline
    Recipients are required to:
    - present at Foundation for Surgery and/or Australian and New Zealand Endocrine Surgeons events regarding the grant and the recipients’ achievements.

  • Who can apply?

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to be:
    - a RACS Fellow
    - a Specialist International Medical Graduate (SIMG) or
    - SET Trainee
    - undertaking (or planning to undertake) research in the field endocrine surgery

  • Activity

    Your activity needs to focus on research in the field of Endocrine Surgery and may be utilised to support travelling fellowship to an endocrine centre of excellence in order to learn new techniques in endocrine surgery.

    Unless otherwise negotiated or stipulated in the respective guideline, the commencement date for scholarships is 1 January in the year following application.

    Your application is to include:

    - your career and employment details
    - your research proposal and proposed budget.

  • Selection and awarding

    Selection
    - assessment is via written application only. There is no interview for this scholarship.
    - the selection panel is comprised of executive members of the Australian and New Zealand Endocrine Surgeons (ANZES) and two representatives of the Scholarship and Grant Committee.

    Awarding
    - payment will be made to the recipient in one instalment prior to 1 March in the scholarship year (upon receipt of a valid tax invoice).
