Getting started

How can I get an account?
All new full-members of BreastSurgANZ have an account created as part of the set up for new members. You will be sent an email with details of your account. Non-members can apply for access at a fee-per-patient basis. Contact the audit helpdesk for more details.
Can I change my login details?
Your username is your email address and will update whenever you update your email address within the system. You can change your password at any time through the 'My Account' option on the navigation bar at the top of the screen.
How do I add a hospital to My Hospitals list?
You can do this by selecting 'My Hospitals' from the navigation bar at the top of the screen. On this page, you can add hospitals to your personalised list. Consult the online portal user manual (PDF 1.37MB) for further assistance with this feature.
How do I start entering data online?
After you have logged into the system, the first page you will see is the summary page. Select 'My Patients' to display a list of all your patients entered on the database. From this page, you can add a new patient or episode and/or edit existing patients and/or episodes.
Is there an alternative method of data entry?
The Institutional upload program is an alternative submission pathway for surgeons who already enter data similar to the audit into an existing database. Institutions, such as hospitals or registries, can have data directly uploaded into the audit, which saves surgeons from having to re-enter this data manually.
To be eligible for the upload program, an institution must have a large annual case volume and sufficient commonality of fields between their database and the audit. Data needs to be sent to the audit in a compatible format and we perform the mapping and transformation necessary prior to upload. Uploads generally occur two to three times per year.
If you believe that your institution has a database that fits the criteria for the upload program, contact the helpdesk to discuss eligibility.
